Back to Inverness Airport for a 2-day stint this weekend. I'll be there with Liz and her lovely soaps and Alan the Silversmith.
My next summer stall is this Saturday at Nairn Community Centre. This weekend's event is run by Creative Moray Firth and there will be lots of stalls from which to browse and buy so if you are in the area, do pop in for a wee wander round. Event runs from 10am-4pm. Free admission.
Going to have a stall at Inverness Gala in Bught Park this weekend. I'll be in Exclusively Highlands marquee. Can't wait to see what people think of my new Wee MacNessie t-shirts starting at size 1-2 (unbelievably cute) to size 7-8 over 3 colours.

There are going to be 3 craft stalls at Inverness Airport over June, July and August. I'm going to be running one of them selling my own books on 3 of the weekends. My first one is on June 13/14th so if you're passing through the airport, come and say hello.

London Book Fair was amazing. So many incredible publishing companies, fantastic talks and interviews.Was lucky enough to catch Ali Smith's interview based around her latest novel 'How to be both'. Ali is from Inverness so it's particularly great to see her doing so well.
Off to London tomorrow to attend The London Book Fair. Really looking forward to being part of the buzz and seeing who is exhibiting. While in London, going to catch a performance of John Buchan's 'The Thirty Nine Steps' which is 100 years old this year.
Thanks to everyone who has shared and liked info about my new Wee MacNessie book. I really appreciate it. I will be at the Strathpeffer Pavilion food and craft fair on April 18th-19th so hope to catch up with at least a few of you there.
Today's the day 'Wee MacNessie and the Tartan Spots' goes on sale. I'm so happy to have this third book in the series on the market as it has been almost two years since the last story came out. I hope that children and adults alike love the gentle humour of 'Wee MacNessie's' latest adventure plus the fantastic watercolour illustrations by Brian Robertson.

Ablekids will be there with a selection of Gaelic children's books for sale.
The second Exclusively Highlands Christmas Fair at Eden Court takes place this weekend on Friday 1-8pm and Saturday/Sunday from 10am-5pm. Come and browse a fine selection of food, craft and gift stalls brimming with inspiration for presents and treats.
Creative Moray Firth is holding its final craft fair of 2013 in Nairn Community Centre this Saturday from 10am-5pm. From candles, soaps, children's books and cards to pottery, food, tweed bags and photographic prints, there is a great selection of gifts and prices from which to choose.
This weekend - Friday 1pm-9pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am-5pm - Eden Court is the place to be, browsing the wonderful Exclusively Highland stalls. With so many amazing food, craft and gift products to admire, Christmas shopping is a joy. This event also supports the MS Therapy Centre.
Come and support the Children 1st Christmas Fair at Achnagairn House, Kirkhill this Tuesday from 5-8pm and Wednesday, 10am-4pm. Lots of lovely stalls in a beautiful venue making money for children - what is there not to like! 'Corner on the Square' are also providing lunches on Wednesday.
Creative Moray Firth are holding their second fair at The Thistle Hotel Inverness this Friday and Saturday from 10am-6pm. Make the most of the hotel's facilities including a spa, then indulge in some early Christmas shopping from a wide range of craft, gift and food stalls.
If you didn't manage to Strathpeffer Pavilion last weekend to start stocking up on Christmas goodies, then come along this weekend for the Friends of the Pavilion Food and Craft Fair from 10am-4pm. Scottish Opera are going to perform a special pop-up Don Giovanni at 2.30pm on Saturday.
Two events coming up this weekend for Ablekids. On Saturday and Sunday it is the Exclusively Highlands Craft, Food and Gift Fair at The Pavilion in Strathpeffer. As always there will be a selection of beautiful products on sale, perfect for Christmas presents and special gifts. Ablekids will also have a stall at the CAB Fair which is taking place at The Averon Centre, Alness on Saturday.
That was some week at The Eastgate Centre. Great to be there meeting new people and having a good laugh with other stallholders. Ablekids also had a stall at The Baby Show in Smithton where new Mums and Dads got lots of advice about services and baby products.

I'll return to this event nearer the time, but just to let everyone know well in advance that The Royal National Mod is going to be in Inverness from October 10-17th October. As well as the wonderful competitions drawing competitors from all over the world, there will be a variety of exhibitors showcasing at Eden Court Theatre over the week. Ablekids is delighted to announce that it will be taking part and looks forward to meeting old and new customers alike.
Hurricane Bertha has been causing havoc, affecting events all over the place, but the good news is it looks like the Grantown Show is going to go ahead as planned on Thursday from 9am - 5pm. With a fantastic range of activities for all the family, stalls, vintage vehicles, parades of animals and children's games, it's not to be missed. Bring your wellies just in case! I will be there selling my own books so come and get a signed copy.

Saturday, June 14th is Victorian Day in Strathpeffer. This is such a great event with lots of stalls to browse and fun activities for the kids. Come and soak up the atmosphere in this beautiful former Victorian spa. Open from 11am - 4pm.
Highland Games and Country Fair at Gordon Castle this Sunday from 10am - 5pm. I'm going to be there with my author/publisher hat on selling my own books including my nice new glossy picture book. There are going to be lots and lots of lovely stalls and activities in the grounds of a beautiful castle, so why not make it a day and come along.
Trying to keep calm in the run-up to the publication of my new picture book, a retelling of Aesop's Fable 'The Fox and the Grapes' which is coming out in 11 language versions. May 16th is the date to watch out for and books will be available on my site for purchase. As well as English only, bilingual editions will be in English with French, Gaelic, German, Italian, Malayalam, Portuguese, Polish, Romanian, Spanish and Turkish.
