At AMUA, we provide media makeup training with quality and speed. We pride ourselves in our innovative performance-based learning methods. Here, we combine traditional fine-arts based concepts with practicum based on realistic scenarios. We make it our mission to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to succeed in the highly competitive media and bridal makeup industries. Our classes are designed to lead students through makeup for media, airbrush for high-definition, hairstyling for the MUA and optionally, special effects for TV. We place much emphasis on building a professional portfolio- the key to getting paid work upon completion of any program. Each program ends in a culminating two-day photo shoot in which students apply their new skills to real models, actors and musicians on an actual set with a reputable fashion photographer. Upon completion of the programs, students will receive a Certificate of Training, an 11x14 professional portfolio to showcase their work to new clients, and will be eligible to apply for discounts of up to 40% from MAC, Smashbox, Stila, Nars and more. Successful students will also be eligible to apply for a MAC Pro membership and attend exclusive MAC Master Classes!
