Rocky McKeon is a native of Cocodrie, Louisiana and a fluent speaker of Louisiana French who has translated documents for such clients as WellCare Health Insurance of Arizona, Inc., 'Ohana Health Plan, United States Department of Health and Human Services, Nicholls State University, Cannata's Family Market, Chauvin Sculpture Garden, 2010 Acadian World Congress, Terrebonne Folklife Culture Center, Vermilion Parish Tourist Commission, as well as restaurant menus, museum signage, and store signage. He is currently on the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development's Bilingual Signage and Map Task Force which is tasked with assessing the feasibility of bilingual, Louisiana French and English road signs and maps. He has also worked as a consultant for the Dictionary of Louisiana French which was released in 2009. He is the creator of the YouTube series "Le Chausson Show," he has translated Dr. Seuss' book How the Grinch Stole Christmas into Louisiana French complete with rhymes, and he enjoys performing Louisiana French rock with his band Isle Dernière.
