The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) works to protect and defend individual liberties that are guaranteed by the United States Constitution. The ACLU seeks to extend rights to segments of our population that have traditionally been denied their rights, including people of color, women, lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgender people, prisoners, and people with disabilities. We believe that the rights of our society’s most vulnerable members must be safeguarded, if these rights are denied, then all of our rights are in jeopardy. We intend the comments section of this Facebook page to be a forum where you can freely express your views on materials we post and on comments posted by others.
