Home of The NAMASTAGE. Professional Acting Classes for Kids, Teens and Adults. A Meisner based Acting Studio that integrates yoga into each class.
(Actasana -Pronounced: Act Aaah Saaanah) When an actor prepares they must tap into their innermost truth. To do this you must be centered in your body, mind and spirit. Yoga taps you into all three of those things. Yoga relaxes you and facilitates the process of tuning into your authenticity both as an individual and as the character you are playing. Every “character” is YOU at the center. Yoga and acting are also similar in the way that they are not to be intellectualized but rather experienced. This revolutionary work sharpens your instincts, centers you and provides you with the ability to read human behavior giving you a powerful tool for life. Up until now actors would take classes at two different places to study acting and yoga. Actasana is taking the leading-edge by marrying the two art forms. We are paving the way for the modern day actor because we believe that your art can change the world!

"Do you want to be happy, or do you not want to be happy? It's really that simple. Once you make that choice, your path through life becomes totally clear." ~Michael Singer - The Untethered Soul
"Life creates situations that push you to your edges, all with the effect of removing what is blocked inside of you. " Michael A. Singer- quote taken from his book "The Untethered Soul." As actors we especially have an obligation to stay open and remove blockages because if we back away and shut down when we're being challenged to grow then we completely dilute our offering as artists. How can we be truthful under imaginary circumstances as a "character," if we refuse to feel the truth and emotional circumstances of what shows up in our own personal lives? Instead, take those challenging times to be gifts rather than labeling them good or bad ask how can I grow from this, what can I learn? As an actor your instrument is your very being so keep your heart wide open to all experiences that life brings to you. By doing that you'll have a deeper understanding of the human condition and in turn you'll have a fuller more compelling life both on stage and off. Be brave, be vulnerable and carry on because it's all part of the process.
If you don't design your own life plan, chances are you'll fall into someone else's plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much. Jim Rohn
We are now interviewing for the new first year Meisner Technique class which will begin on August 25th. Call 720-638-2612 to start your journey!
