My name is Bernadette Yu-Hayhurst, the owner of Acupuncture Mississauga Clinic. I am an Ontario Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (R.TCMP) and Acupuncturist (R.AC). I am also a trainer and an educator in the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) field. Coming from Hong Kong, for many generations my family have used TCM as the principle way to maintain our good health, cure our ailments and promote longevity. As a trained Holistic Nutritionist (R.HN), I advocate dietary therapy: using common food and herbs to heal body ailments and to regain health. I enjoyed reading scientific research journals. I am a frequent public speaker on Traditional Chinese Medicine where I emphasize proven clinical results on the use of Chinese Medicine to cure/treat common diseases. I also educate my audiences on how the pharmaceutical companies tap into our Chinese Medicinal herbs to develop experimental drugs and patent them to cure / reverse certain common ailments such as cancer and cardiovascular disorders. In my clinical practice, dietary therapy is often prescribed in addition to treating patient's health problems with Acupuncture needles and Chinese Herbal Medicine. Our emphasis is on proper nutrition and we teach patients to use common food and herbs to improve their health conditions. We provide tools to patients and educate them on how to monitor their diet. We provide recipes/dietary plans to those who are serious in regaining good health thru eating nutritious and healing food.
