Description

Many young adults have not completed high school. There are a multitude of factors that contribute to this, many out of the control of the individual student. Our facility aims to provide those adults, aged 18-21, who have not completed high school the opportunity to complete a program that will enhance post-secondary education and career/employment opportunities. We are committed to providing a mature, adult campus that supports the respective needs of students who are committing themselves to complete their education. We offer them the opportunity to complete a high school program using a mixture of daily lessons and course modules for each student. Therefore, students can work independently at their own pace, but with support from teaching staff. Day Program Adult 12: a Grade 12 program that requires seven credits at the 20 or 30 level: two English Language Arts, one Social Studies, one Math, one Science and two electives all at the 30 level. Upgrading: for students who have already completed Grade 12 but need to upgrade specific classes for entrance to university or SIAST. Registering for the Adult Campus DAY PROGRAM The Adult Campus Day Program is for young adults ages 18-21, with the following restrictions: 1. Persons age 18 for the entire school year - must have been out of school for 1 year. 2. Persons age 18 who turn 19 during the school year, and those persons aged 19-21 – no restrictions. 3. Persons age 21 - can turn 22 during the school year 4. Persons ages 18-21 who have completed their Grade 12 and want to upgrade their mark(s) - no restrictions. 5. Students from out-of-province – must provide their transcript before the start of the school year. (This does not apply to those students who have their grade 12 and are upgrading only.)
