at 615 City Park Ave, Bldg 7, Rm 170, New Orleans , 70119 United States
The Adult Education Program at Delgado offers free classes for any student interested in working towards earning a high-school equivalency.
How Do I Register? Come to our City Park location (Building 7, Room 170) on the next registration day at 8 am. Registration is first come, first served. You can expect to fill out some paperwork with your basic information and receive your entrance testing dates. Registration typically lasts for about 1/2 hour for students. New students take two tests (the Locator and the TABE) in order to place them in the appropriate class. What Are Classes Like? After testing, you will be placed in a class that best fits your academic level. The classes cover every subject on the HiSET: math, reading, language, science, and social studies. Our classes are similar to college classes, meeting 2 or 2 times per week, for a total of 6 hours each week. Every class runs for eight weeks, with a ninth week for post-testing. Your post-test scores will indicate how much your skills have improved and how prepared you are for the GED.
