The automotive industry is constantly evolving with vehicles becoming ever more complicated and reliant on electronics and here at Advanced Auto Electrical we take it in our stride as we enjoy the challenge. AAE was formed in 2013 as a direct result of outgrowing a highly successful previous business, Forge Auto Electrical. Forge was formed in 1999 by Jon Cleeves after he completed his formal training as an auto electrician in Bristol. As a sole trader Jon started Forge initially as a mobile service which rapidly grew as a respectable and reliable name in the industry, but as you can imagine there are massive limitations to a mobile service. Around this time Jon met Patrick Wilson aka Paddy and realised they shared an enthusiasm for vehicle repairs, modification and tuning. A year later a permanent premises was needed in order to progress and grow the business due to high demand and the need for access to full workshop facilities. Based out of a one car workshop on the Forge Accommodation site near Bristol airport (hence the name), Forge continued to grow and build reputation as well as taking on regular custom from local motor dealerships. Having a workshop also meant we could work on our vehicles as on evenings and weekends. After a year based at the workshop near the airport, Forge had outgrown the site and needed a larger workshop which would also be closer to town for private customers. A workshop was found in Bishopsworth ideally situated between a mechanics and body shop. With Paddy becoming ever more involved in the business, Forge steadily grew for the past 2 years building a solid mixed customer base of regular trade and private custom that have become reliant on the the services provided by Forge. Now with 6 years experience under the belt and having outgrown site number 2, we were ready to take the next step. So here we are today. Advanced Auto Electrical became incorporated and moved into a new premises with better facilities and easier access for customers. Continuing on the success of Forge but growing the company in terms of staff and facilities we aim to provide an even better experience for our customers whilst being able to offer a wider variety of services. Moving the company forwards into the future we have made changes in terms of management, structure and technology which will allow us to keep ahead of a fast paced market and changes in law in order to continue providing an excellent service.
