Hello all, Freedom School is a program based on The Peoples Institute for Survival and Beyond's anti-racist organizing training. It identifies and unpacks systems that oppress people of color and forces participants to check their own internalized feelings of inferiority and superiority. The FREE 2-1/2 day session will be held February 13-15. The application deadline is January 23. Fill one out before the deadline and we'll see you there! Lunch provided. "In late 1820, having been allowed to enter the Union as a slave state, Missouri submitted its new constitution to Congress for approval [...] a brief clause in Article III would compel Missouri's legislature 'to pass such laws as may be necessary...to prevent free negroes and mulattoes from coming to, and settling in this state, under any pretext whatsoever.' Missouri's proposed constitution would thereby exclude all free blacks from entering the state."
