Description

We are Alaska Backcountry Rentals, LLC, owned by John Sykes, Jason Buttrick, and Britta Sonerholm. We rent Alpine Touring ski setups in Southcentral Alaska and are based out of Anchorage. We offer a range of sizes to fit any skier and a variety of ski models in order to cater to different styles. Most of our skis are fitted with dynafit style tech bindings but we have several skis with more traditional alpine style bindings that release at the heel for touring. Of course we also offer tech fitted boots, skins, and poles so you're fully set up for backcountry touring (other than the requisite avalanche beacon and suggested Avalanche 1 course offered by the Alaska Avalanche school: http://alaskaavalanche.com).
