Alonzo Maestas grew up in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and is a third-generation New Mexican. He graduated from New Mexico State University in 2002 with a double Bachelor of Arts in Government and English Literature; earned his J.D. from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2009; and earned his Master of Criminal Justice from New Mexico State University in 2012. He is currently pursuing a Master of Education in Athletic Coaching at Ball State University and a Ph.D. in Health, Exercise and Sport Science, with a concentration in Sport Administration, at the University of New Mexico. Alonzo has been practicing law since 2009. He is licensed to practice in New Mexico. He previously practiced with the 13th Judicial District Attorney Office in Valencia County, New Mexico and in the United States Army JAG Corps. Alonzo practices in the areas of contract law; administrative law; general civil litigation; criminal defense (both civilian and military); foreclosure defense; sports law; and wills drafting. Patrick Lopez grew up in Penasco, New Mexico, and is a native New Mexican. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2001; earned his J.D. from Phoenix Law School in 2009; and earned his LL.M in Biotechnology and Genomics from Arizona State University in 2014. Patrick has been practicing law since 2009. He is licensed to practice in New Mexico and Arizona. He previously practiced with the New Mexico Office of the Public Defender, and also has extensive legal research experience, having previously worked as a law librarian. Patrick practices in the areas of general civil litigation; criminal defense; foreclosure defense; and wills drafting.
