The United States Small Business Office of Advocacy states that 70% of small businesses are owned and operated by a single person. Doing your "day job" (electrician, masseuse, day care, whatever it may be) and making sure you are checking all the boxes needed on the business side can be exhausting. Especially if you have employees! All Points can help. Reach out to us with a question and let's have a conversation!

T'is the season for company holiday parties! In the excitement of the season there are also practical considerations to remember. At the top of that list: if you plan to include alcohol at your company party please think about how you will help any employees who over-imbibe get home safely. As the company party is a work related event liability is something you will need to keep in mind. Consider offering free beverages for designated drivers or covering the expense of a taxi. For other suggestions or planning ideas, contact All Points today!

Tip of the Day: This Sunday, November 2nd, most of our clocks will be turned back one hour to mark the end of Daylight Savings Time. If you employ shift workers, be sure to pay for all hours worked! If necessary, don't forget to include that extra hour in counting total hours worked for overtime purposes.

According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, nearly 111 million workdays are lost each flu season. That adds up to nearly $7 billion dollars in sick days and lost productivity! If your small business does not offer health benefits there are other options available to provide voluntary flu vaccinations to your employees. Reach out to All Points Advising for suggestions!
