Allianz SE, (già AG) è una società di servizi finanziari con sede a Monaco, in Germania. È la seconda Compagnia al mondo nel settore delle assicurazioni, dopo la francese AXA, e prima dell'italiana Generali.StoriaAllianz è stata fondata a Berlino nel 1890 e ha trasferito la sua sede principale a Monaco di Baviera nel 1949.Alla fine del diciannovesimo secolo apre una succursale a Londra. Dopo la Seconda guerra mondiale, le attività economiche riprendono gradualmente: apre un ufficio a Parigi verso la fine degli anni cinquanta e uno in Italia negli anni sessanta. Nel corso degli anni settanta l'espansione prosegue in Gran Bretagna, Paesi Bassi, Spagna, Brasile e Stati Uniti d'America. Nel 1986, Allianz acquista Cornhill Insurance PLC, compagnia assicurativa londinese, e una partecipazione in Riunione Adriatica di Sicurtà (RAS), compagnia di assicurazioni di Milano.
