American Forests’ work is driven by our love of forests, respect for their role in our planet’s health, deep concern for the environment and a sense of urgency regarding the environmental and climatic changes we all face. Over the last 20 years, we have planted more than 40 million trees around the world, restoring forest ecosystems that have been damaged by wildfire, disease, insects, drought, development and other natural and man-made causes. We're also dedicated to educating the public about the many benefits of trees and forests. The more we know, the more we realize that these are limited natural resources that we can't do without. Lastly, we work as environmental advocates in the policy arena, whether on the local or federal level.
