Because I'm asked so often about colour correction... A little advice for ladies with Jet black hair colours. If you decide to go Jet black- be warned. This is the KING of all hair colours. It doesn't fade out easily- and even copious amounts of home bleach will only result in orange fuzz that no good hairdresser would touch with a barge poll. Hairdressers are not hair GODS we can strip it for you using professional strippers- and yes they are very different to bleach but still very drying. Also a stripper will not return your hair to it's own natural colour after dying it jet black. It's a two stage process. Firstly the hair will turn orange varying from dark to lighter patchy hues. Then a dark brown professional colour can be applied. You won't go back blonde or very light brown overnight, well not unless you want hair that snaps just by looking at it :/. So if you do dye it Jet black, please be aware you've chosen the hardest colour to change & be prepared to be patient while your hairdresser helps you restore it back to the colour you desire- over a long period of time. Lastly- the same applies to bright & dark reds when wanting to go lighter. However they are easier to darken to a dark chocolate brown when change is required. Hope this information helps you to make a choice that's right for you :). Sarah. X
