APEX is a networking chapter under the largest networking organisation, BNI (Business Network International), of its kind in the world. Members sell their services, products & solutions through our members (not to our members). Each member becomes your "marketing colleague" - which is powerful because word-of-mouth referral carries a lot of trust with one recommendation. To join, your business or trade needs to be non-competing to our current members. If you are interested, we welcome you to contact us so we can make arrangements for your visit. The meeting fee is only S$20. Background about BNI Singapore: On 9th September 1999, entrepreneur Mervin Yeo co-founded BNI Singapore with the launch of Genesis, the first BNI chapter in Singapore and Asia. That made Singapore the 8th country to join the fast-growing professional business networking organization which began in 1985. The discovery of BNI by Mervin came about in October 1998 from a book “The World’s Best Known Marketing Secret” authored by Dr Ivan Misner who was the Founder of BNI. Word of mouth, a commonly used terminology and practice in sales and marketing, can actually be implemented in a systematic manner. The system can be applied to just about any business – that’s the beauty of it. To think, word of mouth or referral marketing has been long practiced but never systematically. In fact, the system developed by Dr Misner complements the advertisements in newspapers, the yellow pages and other publications. It was not difficult to see that this marketing system can benefit other business people in Singapore and visionary Mervin was determined to share with others what he had discovered – a hot, new trend, that builds business the old-fashioned way – word of mouth. In May 1999, Mervin received formal training in word-of-mouth marketing and business networking in California, USA by the author and his team of trainers. A year on, he became a licensed trainer in the Certified Networker Program, a professional course in business networking. As a Founding National Director, Mervin offers over a decade of experience and training in the field of sales, marketing, advertising, communications, and business, a combination that will see the largest business referral organisation in the world change the way Singaporean business people network and grow their businesses. It is exciting that BNI has begun operating here, because participants in BNI’s programme can look forward to business growth in the future and benefit as many had experienced since 1985. In fact, in 2008, BNI has grown to over 5000 chapters in 40 countries in every continent around the world. Mervin is also the co-National Director of BNI Indonesia and the Philippines. BNI is truly the world’s largest referral organisation, and it’s growing still…
