Velveteria

If you were alive in the 70s, chances are you’ve had a parent, grandparent, or family member who has hung a gloriously tacky piece of velvet art on their wall. More than likely it was a portrait of one of three things: dogs playing poker, Elvis, or Jesus. Thankfully the fuzzy fad died off sometime in the 80s, but at Velverteria, it's still alive and well and… hanging on every conceivable surface. Originally the Velverteria was a Portland staple, but in 2010 the owners Carl Baldwin and Caren Anderson packed up shop and moved all of their 3,000+ works of velvety art to abandoned shop in the Chinatown district of downtown Los Angeles, and that’s where you can where you can find it today. Their new location has new additions, which include the Naked Lady Room, the Hall of Elvis, a vx mysterious room that can only be unlocked if you ask, a portrait of Anderson Cooper in a thong, and the Unicorn Garden of Good and Evil. All and all there are 420 pairings currently on display at the Velveteria, with more and more additions planned for the near future. -Roadtrippers Velveteria is a velvet painting museum curated by owners Caren Anderson and Carl Baldwin. The museum featuring over 420 paintings out of the couples 3,000 piece collection relocated to Los Angeles and opened on December 11, 2013. We have 3,ooo paintings from every corner of the world. The Boy Meets World House
4196 Colfax Avenue Los Angeles , CA 91604 null

In real life, the Matthews’ house, which was originally built in 1940, boasts two bedrooms, two baths, 2,108 square feet of living space, and a 0.27-acre plot of land.  And, as you can see below, it is absolutely adorable in person and does have a very East Coast feel to it.  It is no surprise at all that producers chose to use it in Boy Meets World.  In fact, I am quite surprised that the dwelling has not appeared onscreen more often, except for the fact that it is located on a very busy street, which filmmakers tend to shy away from. -IAMNOTASTALKER Private property, pls admire from afar, as trespassing is illegal and also rude.
