Why does the Insurance Company want you to use their DRP shop so badly? $$$TO SAVE THEM MONEY.$$$ The corners cut to save them money may put your safety at risk. Every repair facility that is on a direct repair program must accept some concessions in order for the insurance company to send them work. Some examples of these concessions are: Repairing panels that should be replaced Using junkyard parts instead of new Using counterfeit parts instead of original equipment parts (Cycle Time) Pushing to have your car repaired as quickly as possible, with no regard to quality, to save them money on rental fees They are not allowed to inform you about the right of appraisal They are not allowed to inform you about diminished value They are not allowed to advise you on the value of your vehicle in a total loss situation There are many more concessions ? Ask the direct repair facility to see the contract they have with the insurance company. Note: The next time you speak to an Insurance Company representative on the phone, you may want to record the conversation. It could be in your best interest. Think about it..
