ASM is the oldest and largest anthropology museum in the region (est. 1893), an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, and home of the world’s largest and most comprehensive collections of Southwest Indian pottery and American Indian basketry.
Parking Information. Convenient, covered parking is available for a small fee just one block away at either Euclid Avenue and Second Street or Tyndall Avenue and Fourth Street. Parking is free on weekends except when large, university-wide special events occur. Public Transportation. SunTran Bus Route #1 stops right in front of ASM. Refer to the Sun Tran web site for routes, times, and fare information: http://www.suntran.com/routes.php Sun Link’s Modern Streetcar operates daily until 2:00 am.
