General Info

Seven guilds call the AGB home. They welcome new members, so if you’re interested in photography, hand-weaving, spinning, sculpture, woodcarving, ceramics, pottery, fine arts, fibre arts and hooking craft, check them out. We inspire through great art programs, taught by talented instructors in fully equipped studios. Artists and craftspeople are supported with professional development programs. Our internationally recognized Permanent Collection of Contemporary Canadian Ceramics is unique and continues to grow in size and artistic depth. What’s a gallery without exhibitions? The seventh largest public art gallery in Ontario, we inspire with as many as 20 exhibitions throughout the year, showcasing work from internationally recognized artists, national and regional artists, as well as local guild members. Not only that – our exhibitions are FREE to anyone who wants to wander through the AGB halls and Lee-Chin Family Gallery, F.R. Perry Gallery, and Permanent Collection Corridor to see them. That’s pretty unique these days. As if all of that isn’t enough, the AGB also has a beautiful conservatory, outdoor courtyard, and the Art Etc Gallery Shop, which features an art rental program and sells the work of Canadian artists, as well as meeting and event rooms for rent to the community. All in all, we’re a unique community of art lovers inspired by this home for art, and you’re welcome to join us.
