A Fort Wayne company is branching out to take on the electronic bad guys. Matt LaGrone has opened his second computer-related business in Fort Wayne that specializes in repairing computers. LaGrone opened ASAP Computer Repair on Sept. 27. Located at 4332 Bluffton Road, ASAP offers to repair personal computers, PlayStation 3s and Xboxes, and also sells reconditioned laptop, desktop and notebook computers. LaGrone also has an eBay account where he sells refurbished electronic equipment that is also offered in his store. LaGrone's first business, Summit City Asset Remarketing (SCAR), helps recycle and reuse electronic equipment. SCAR offers free consultations to figure what the estimated price of the equipment would be. Its computer asset recovery specialists then get the equipment ready for sale and share a percentage of the revenue. “Many people aren't aware of the need for proper disposing of electronic equipment,” LaGrone said. “That's where we come in. We make it easy for individuals and businesses to dispose of their old equipment.” In 2008, SCAR was nominated by the Northeast Indiana Small Business Development Center for an Innovation Award. LaGrone's business was nominated for his business' 0 percent landfill policy, which means everything brought in to be recycled is either recycled onsite or reconditioned and sold. “We pride ourselves in being a fast and easily affordable computer repair business to help any individual or business with their computer problems,” LaGrone said.
