WHO WE SERVE: We are a survivor-centered organization supporting women, men, and children who have been affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, or trafficking. Although AFSSA’s focus is on the Asian community, we do not discriminate and our services are for anyone who needs assistance. Our services are based on the inherent philosophy that each individual’s experiences, level of resource access and needs differ from one case to another. We strive to provide tailored, cultural and language specific services to anyone who enters through our doors. Our bilingual and bicultural staff and our volunteer interpreters, who speak a total of more than 24 different languages, are instrumental in providing services to immigrant and refugee women. The agency provides direct service (face-to-face) to the Central Texas area in five counties: Travis, Williamson, Hays, Caldwell, and Bastrop. The agency will provide phone support, referrals, and system advocacy to all parts of Texas and outside of the state for those who cannot access similar services within their local jurisdiction. We are known to assist people internationally as well.
