Hello - I stayed at your hotel for one night on May 25th & was highly disappointed in your maintenance team. It was the morning of our check out and my boyfriend and I were getting dressed when we heard a knock at the door and they said maintenance. My boyfriend walked to the door and as he was about a foot from the door the maintenance guy just barged into our room. Luckily I was fully dressed and my boyfriend quickly stopped him from entering our room without permission. He told the man to come back as we were getting ready to check out, they were only switching the phones out in the rooms, it could wait. About 5 mins later the same thing happened and the maintenance guy barged into our room as I was coming out of the bathroom, again clothed. I do not understand where they get the right to barge into our rooms, we had a do not disturb sign on our door and they felt the need to take it upon themselves to enter our room not knowing what they could walk in on. As we were walking out, we continued to watch them barge into people's rooms and people yelling at them. I complained to the front desk manager and nothing was done. I feel as though we should've received some sort of apology for the invasion of privacy. I'm just very disappointed in the staff reactions to the complaints they received, as numerous people were down there complaining when I was checking out. When I come back to N.O., I will unfortunately be choosing an different hotel.
This hotel placed several hundred dollars of unauthorized charges on my debit card. After 20 minutes on hold trying to call the hotel, I finally got to a voicemail--not a live person. Reporting fraudulent charges with my bank. There are a lot of hotels in the Quarter. I won't be back here.
