How much did you love the beautiful riding weather Mother Nature provided us with last week? We saw a lot of you out riding and wanted to remind you of the important things you should check before hopping on your bike and riding off. Make sure your oil level is good (but do not overfill), check your tire pressure & condition and don't forget the chain & sprockets (or belt). Doing this only takes a few minutes and could save your bike or your life.

ATTENTION LADIES & GENTLEMAN!!! Does someone special in your life ride a motorcycle or scooter? Is it part of what defines them? How about a unique accessory for Valentine's Day! Casual wear: Shirts, shorts, socks, shoes or hats....all available to order through our catalogs! Hair management solutions for all hair styles. Jackets, boots or gloves. Is your loved one suffering in the cold? Consider some heated gloves, seat pads or even an entire heated full suit liner! So many options available for all types of riders (or those who want to ride). All we need is a size (if applicable) and/or 50% deposit by Thursday February 6, 2014 so we can place the order that *should* guarantee it arrives before Valentine's Day (please remember we are only a single link in a chain that gets stuff from there to here so some situations are out of our control i.e. weather/shipping issues). Absolute latest to make delivery possible by Valentine Weekend Feb. 9th. Come on down to the shop and flip through "Mama's Magic Books" (they have all the answers!) and help support the local economy while securing that special gift for that "Special Someone".

The ice may have melted but the roads are still dangerous for those of us on 2 wheels. Most streets now have a line of sand and/or salt running right down the center and off to both sides. Tires can lose their grip on this stuff almost as easily as on ice. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS AS YOU RIDE! Also, the weather promises to be quite dynamic for the next couple of weeks so pay close attention to your local weather station before heading out. And, as always....RIDE SAFE!

The roads have finally cleared somewhat so Atlanta Motorcycles & Repair is OPEN today.

Ice on the roads have prevented Atlanta Motorcycles & Repair from being able to open today. We'd like to encourage people to stay home & off the roads. For those of you stuck out on the ice we send warm thoughts & hope you make it home safe & soon!

Here is a list of Suzuki Dealerships in metro Atlanta. We recommend calling one of these numbers if your GSX-R is among the ones with a recalled front brake master cylinder: Mountain Motorsports (866)347-1319 899 Iris Dr SE Conyers, 30094 Freewheeling Honda-Suzuki-Triumph-Can Am (770)920-1033 6408 Fairburn Rd, Douglasville, 30134 Motions-Honda Kawasaki Suzuki (770)425-4000 333 Cobb Pkwy N. Marietta, 30062

ATTENTION SUZUKI GSX-R OWNERS!! The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a formal recall of front brake master cylinders on a large number of model years. According to NHTSA: Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. (Suzuki) is recalling certain model year 2004-2013 GSX-R600 and GSX-R750, and model year 2005-2013 GSX-R1000 motorcycles. In combination with older brake fluid, corrosion of the brake piston inside of the front brake master cylinder generates gas that may result in a reduction of fluid pressure transmission to the front brake. As a result, front braking power may be reduced increasing the risk of a crash. Suzuki will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front brake master cylinder, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin on Nov. 4. Suzuki's campaign numbers for this recall are: 2A (31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36).

AMR is moving! That's right folks after 6 years on Ponce we're finally getting a bigger shop. We hope to be able to provide a safer way in and out of the shop, more room for your precious rides and possibly cheaper prices. Some time this month we will close the doors on Ponce - until that time it's business as usual. We're not going far. The new address will be posted here once we're up and running.
