Description
Anyone at any time can find themselves faced with trying to cope with a difficult period in their life due to circumstances outside of their control. Situations such as, natural disasters, job loss, drought, business insolvency, sickness and injury, are just some examples that can lead to everyday Australians struggling financially and emotionally. Aussie Care is about helping everyday Australians through these difficult times. Our goal is to help meet the immediate needs of both Australian communities and individuals by allowing them to get back on their feet and provide the resources they need to get there. Aussies helping Aussies through Hope, Peace and Provisions is what Aussie Care is all about. Our History: Aussie Care came into existence in 2007 and initially operated out of a backyard garage providing food to those who could not afford to buy their own. In 2012, we relocated to a commercial premises in Woodford Place Thornton and had 400 families relying on our services. Due to ever growing demand for our services we have recently relocated again to a much bigger premises at 39 Bonville Ave Thornton, where we currently service over 12,000 families which continues to grow at an average rate of 35 families per week. We also supply to an additional 14 charities on the East Coast of Australia. Many of these charities would struggle to survive without the support of Aussie Care. Notable Facts: - The food and groceries we provide to the community are all 'In Date' products. - 90% of the food and groceries we distribute are purchased by Aussie Care and not donated. - Aussie Care is not so much a welfare organisation but rather one that exists to support and assist everyday Australians through a difficult time when faced with a challenging time in their life. - With no funding grants from the Government, Aussie Care relies heavily on the support of the community and the business sector. Our mission it to bring Hope, Peace & Provision into the lives of everyday Australians. We believe that everybody has the ability to succeed in life. They just need an opportunity!
