I have been practicing this style since 1995 and regularly receive beautiful comments. Hawaiian massage is an ancient and sacred style that was commonly practiced within polynesian families and has only recently in the last century been released from the Hawaiian culture to be taught in the rest of the world. Lomi lomi means to knead and rub. The Kahuna technique was developed by a native Kahuna who taught his techniques on the island of Kauai. His technique gives the experience of the whole body feeling embraced physically, emotionally and spiritually. There are many beautiful techniques that are combined to make this massage experience unique, one of where hands and forearms sweep rhythmically under and on top of the body giving you a sense of a much deeper soothing and nurturing experience than any other massage style. These movements don't just feel great but also help restore your body’s balance and natural rhythm.
