I have been a licensed cosmetologist for 10 years and I cater to women with various types of hair loss. My clients get personal, private one on one attention. I have helped hundreds of women find peace of mind when they lose their hair. It's my mission to help keep women feeling beautifully confident. I provide free wig bang trims and thinning for women going through treatments who have received a free or donated wig. I customize their new wig for them so that they feel comfortable wearing it. Services I offer are: Consultations, Alterations, repairs, custom coloring, personalizing and maintenance services on wigs. (I also do regular salon services but my focus is on hair loss clients) If your hair is beginning to thin or has been for some time and you're ready to take the next step, I can guide you through all the available options on the market. I accept wig donations and safely disinfect and steam them according to TDLR regulations before they get donated to the next person. I am a Look Good Feel Better Volunteer Facilitator with American Cancer Society. Art Bra Austin backstage Volunteer Breast Cancer Resource Center Volunteer. Member of PBA -Professional Beauty Association. Wigs For Kids contributing salon. Slow progress on the move. I managed to get all the slat board down and slid it down the hall to new space. Problem now is that I can't progress to setting up my stuff because I can't find anyone to help me. It's just too heavy. So it looks like I'm going to have to put an ad on Craigslist and pay someone.
One of my clients who is going through cancer treatments and recently bought a couple of wigs from me, told me this today: "i wore my wig to church this Sunday and one of the ladies walked up to me and asked me if I got a facelift." Personally I think it's pretty awesome that a $175 wig can have such an impact. She's already decided that she's just going to wear wigs from now on, even after her treatments. You Go Girl! I've created another wig diva.
I haven't had a client tear up while in my chair in a long time. But today I had a client going through cancer treatments that bravely decided she wanted to shave her head since her hair was falling out by the handfuls anyway. That always tugs at my heart and sometimes a little bit difficult to hold it together myself. But we decided to have a little fun with it and carved out a mohawk and her sister and daughter took pictures before we shaved everything off. Then I customized the wig that she had brought in that she got from the American Cancer Society. By the time she was ready to leave she was all smiles and couldn't stop looking at herself in the mirror because she looked totally fabulous. A wonderful reminder of why I decided to stick with this niche in the Beauty industry.
