B.O.B Natural Hair Empire formally known as Taliah Waajid Natural Hair Center is the first salon in America to actually use the words "natural Hair" in a salon title. B.O.B. N.H.E. founded the first Natural Hair convention/show in America and started the first Natural Hair Seminars that educated stylists about transitioning clients back to their natural textures. BOBNHE front line mission is to offer 24/7/12 professional natural hair services, education as well as offering events to the public. The mission of BOBNHE is also to continue advocating health over tradition and encouraging African American women to choose their own natural hair over relaxers, weaves and bonding. Furthermore BOBNHE advocates child protections against relaxers products that target children. It should be illegal to advertise, market or use caustic chemicals on a child in the name of hair care. BOBNHE also brings a call for economic empowerment and ask African American women/people to stop patronizing beauty supply stores that sell hair, weaves, and relaxer products specifically to African American women while not supporting the communities that those same African American women come from in any way what so ever. This has become one of the biggest economic suicide trends adopted by African American people and is devastating to the economic health of African American communities. We advocate natural hair and economic empowerment as being interconnected. Embracing natural hair helps rebuild our communities and allows us to better prepare our children for success.
