Description

The BES program offers 4 emphases: (1) early childhood, (2) human service and development, (3) informal science and cultural education, and (4) exercise science. The new BES began in the fall of 2014. The program has been a success for a number of reasons. BES prepares students for a career as an educator in a variety of agencies, including: science museums, history museums, after-school programs, educational programs at camps, child care programs, wildlife field stations, agencies providing services to children, agencies providing services to adults, and educational programs at parks. BES graduates are prepared to be skilled and confident leaders in a variety of settings.
