Well, everyone. Today was the sad day. Everyone is now officially moved out of Ball Hall. It's been one crazy year, and all of us on the Ball Hall Council have had such a blast with you guys! Whether it be hosting Thanksgiving dinner or carving pumpkins to getting Lei'd at Spring Break Countdown or putting on a Finals Breakfast Bar, it's been an honor being your guys' very first residence hall council. We've made lots of memories, and we hope you all have, too! It's been a great year, and we can't imagine a greater group of people to have spent it with. So, congratulations on completing your very first year of college at IUPUI! No matter what bigger and better things you guys will surely move on to, just don't forget that little old residence hall you used to live in on W Michigan: the one with all the "fun" fire alarms and water bugs, and the one with the best community and heart by far. Our very own members Sylvia and Zack will even be RAs at Ball Hall next year, so if you're ever around, make sure to stop on by and reminisce a little. I'm sure they'd love to do the same with you. Thanks again for the fantastic year, Ballers! Enjoy your summer! And, we'll see you around next year!
Hey there, all you Studiers; make sure to stop by the lobby from 8 pm–1 am tonight, because Ball Hall Council will be hosting its second to last event of the year - Study Tables! Yes, I know. It's a tragedy for us too. But, it's ok! Because we have Buffalo Wild Wings for people attending the event tonight!! So make sure to stop on by and study with us. Hope to see you guys there!
Hey Ballers! Ball Hall Council has heard a lot of you guys talking about tonight's LYFE Auction, so we decided to get in on the action. During the auction, BHC will be sponsoring a Nacho Bar for residents attending the event! So, if you're a fan of delicious flavor, make sure to stop by before 10 pm to enjoy some awesome nachos with us! We can't wait to see you guys there.
Make sure to pop on by to RHA's annual Carniball event tonight! It'll be taking place from 7-10 at our very own Ball Hall, and we're really looking forward to it! There's gonna be great food, fantastic games, and amazing fun, and plus, your fellow Ball Hall Council members will be volunteering during the event. So, come on by, say hello, grab some food, and have make some memories. It'll be a blast, and we hope to see you there!
Make sure to stop by Ball Hall Council's first round of Study Tables tonight, which will be taking place from 8 pm – 1 am. We'll be providing snacks, drinks, and pizzas, so come down to the lobby and study with us as we prepare for our upcoming finals. We hope to see you there!
Well, it appears that technical difficulties with the projector have prevented us from being able to play The Lorax tonight. We are very sorry that this occurred, but we hope you guys enjoyed the magic show! Make sure to keep an eye out for our upcoming events, though, because, trust us, they're gonna be doozies! But more on that later. Wouldn't want to spoil anything....
Happy Earth Day, Ballers! In case you haven't heard, Ball Hall Council will be hosting a showing of The Lorax in the Ball Hall lobby tonight. It'll be taking place right after the Magic Show, so come out, enjoy the show, and watch a good movie while you're at it! It'll be loads of fun, and we hope to see you guys there!
Hey there, Ballers! Have you guys heard about that NSSE Survey yet? Well, beginning February 23rd, first-year and senior students will have the chance to provide feedback to IUPUI through the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE). NSSE is your bridge to making real changes on campus. First-year and senior students will see a link on Oncourse and Canvas that says “Take NSSE here.” Please consider taking the survey. Your opinions matter. Feedback from NSSE influenced the design of the Campus Center, informed the creation of the new Office of Educational Partnerships and Student Advocacy, and inspired the integration of more diversity-related themes into Summer Bridge and First-Year Seminar courses. IUPUI really does hear your voice and we really do make changes based on what you tell us. There is no obligation to complete NSSE. However, in appreciation for participating, all IUPUI students who complete the survey will receive a free 20 oz. fountain drink from the campus center. If you have any questions, please contact Steve Graunke at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks for your help in improving the IUPUI student experience!
Don't forget that tonight is our Titanic movie event! We'll be showing the movie from 7-11, so come on out for fun games, good food, and great memories all around. See you there!
Make sure to come out to our next movie night tomorrow night! We'll be playing Titanic in light of the anniversary of the fateful ship's first and final journey. We'll be playing the movie from 7-11 tomorrow night, and there will even be fun activities along with it! Don't miss us put to the test whether or not Jack could've actually fit on that huge door, and you can even see first hand how cold the water was on that cruel April night. We'll have pizza, soda, and water to accompany the movie, so don't miss it! Hope to see you all there, Ballers!!
Hey guys! It's been a while, but I thought you all would want to hear about the awesome RHA event that will be taking place this Thursday at our very own Ball Hall. This week, RHA will be hosting its RHA Formal, which will be open to all of housing, on Thursday from 8-11 pm. You know what that means? It's time to get out those fancy dress clothes and suit up!! This will be a fun event for anyone who would be interested in coming, so make sure to come out and hang with us and RHA this week as a way to relax and de-stress from your week and upcoming finals! Inspired by its Candy Land theme, there will be free food, an entire candy buffet, and a photo booth, so we hope to see you there!
Hey, guys, make sure to roll up those sleeves and stop by the lobby in order to sign up for the for the Indiana Blood Center's Blood Drive, which will be taking place this Thursday from 3-8 pm! This is for a very good cause, so make sure to tell your friends and fellow Ball Hall residents about this fun event. We hope you guys have a good rest of your weekend, and we hope to see you at the Blood Drive!
Hey Ball Hall-ers! Make sure to dig around your rooms one last time for any cans and nonperishable food items. We'll be having our Paws Pantry Food Drive wrap up day tomorrow. Now here's the best part: if we have at least one food item per resident, then housing will provide all of Ball Hall with a prize! So make sure to hassle those parents and scrounge around those rooms of yours in order to help out this amazing organization! Collection will be in the Lobby, so feel free to stop by and donate those cans. We look forward to seeing you guys and hope that you all have a good rest of your weekend.
Don't forget!! Our Mardi Gras Party will be taking place tonight in the lobby from 8-10 pm, so come on by for some good food, friends, and fun and for a chance to win that coveted Lock Out Pass. Just make sure you like our social media pages, and you'll be entered in the drawing. See you guys there!
Well, how was your Valentine's Day, Ball Hall-ers? Did you have a good weekend? We sure did, because you guys helped out SO MUCH last week during our "Give a Can, Get a Can" Food Drive for Paws Pantry! That's awesome! Great job, guys. And, since this was such a successful event, we decided to EXTEND THE DEADLINE all the way to February 23, which is NEXT MONDAY! So make sure to uproot those rooms and bring back from home any cans and nonperishable food items for this great cause. Let's try to double that donation amount guys!
Hope everyone's weekend went well! We had our first official meeting tonight, and it went very well. We had the chance to talk with the IUPUI Food Services group and discuss ideas and suggestions we had about changing the current food services situation at Tower Dining as well as some of the other food services found throughout campus. It was really productive, and we are looking forward to more meeting with the Food Services people. If you have any comments of suggestions concerning the good services options here at IUPUI, feel free to let us know, and we'll make sure to bring it up the next time we meet with them!
Hello again, and welcome back! We hope you had an excellent winter break and a great first week back to school! Our first meeting will be tomorrow night, and we've got loads of fun ideas for this semester that we can't wait to share with you guys. It's good to be back, and we are looking forward to all of the good times that 2015 can offer. Let us or any of your floor representatives know if you have any suggestions that you wouldn't mind seeing this semester or any comments you may have. We're happy to help where we can! We hope you guys have an amazing rest of the semester, and we'll see you all soon!
Congratulations on completing the semester, everyone! We hope that finals went well for you all and that you guys have a great break. Have a wonderful holiday, and we'll see you guys next year!
Don't forget! Tonight is our last Study Tables event and *sniffles* our...our last event of the year :'( *single tear rolls down cheek* hahaha So, make sure to come and study with us for this last time.
