I started Beach Commercial 19 years ago with the vision of building a “hybrid” of an old-fashioned branch bank and a factoring company. We are a “hybrid” because we blend the best parts of each. We do not compete with the banks; we work as a “partner” with the banks to solve certain of their customers cash flow needs. We designed our product to complement the various products the banks offer. Many of the big banks offer factoring, but their terms and conditions are often not be agreeable to local business owners. 95% of our business is referred by bankers, and the balance is referred by CPAs and by our customers. Bankers refer customers to us that have “maxed out” their bank line, but do not yet qualify for a larger line. As a source (vs. as a broker), we offer lines of credit and “overlines” ranging from $25,000 to $1,000,000. We are so flexible that we will help customers that need a “bridge” for just one week, and we help customers who need help for longer periods of time. We focus on serving companies located in the Tidewater area.
