Bean Álainn, a Gaelic phrase meaning "beautiful woman," started with two women of Irish heritage with a hunger for unmatched high-end skincare free of chemicals and toxins. Through extensive molecular research on plants and other natural elements on the cellular level, we noticed certain desirable properties in plant and mineral extracts in the lab. Our focus became finding a way to utilize these beneficial properties for total skin and body health. It has been scientifically proven that up to 60% of what we put on our skin is absorbed into the body and bloodstream, harmful ingredients leading to neurotoxicity, reproductive harm, and cancers. We have discovered that by adding natural elements and oils that have a medicinal background of being healthy and beneficial to the body, our users get more than just amazingly gorgeous, healthy skin. Bean Álainn products contain rare, carefully chosen essential oils and ingredients that are nutritive for both the skin and the body, not to mention they are renewable resources in our environment. Another motivating factor that inspired a need for skincare that offers more was the realization that many luxury skincare products seem to age skin rather than moisturize, heal, and repair damage - in addition to the fact that the vast majority are full of harmful chemicals, fillers, preservatives, and fragrances. An alarming number of commonly-used skincare and cosmetic ingredients trap environmental pollutants, actually causing cells to age and become damaged. To ensure the the most superb quality standards, all of Bean Álainn's artisan-crafted skincare products are created and packaged in our private laboratories in Central California. Bean Álainn’s oils are 100% certified organic and cold-press extracted. The cold pressing process is essential in maintaining the beneficial properties of the oils. Other forms of extraction more commonly used denature and destroy the healing and moisturizing properties. In addition to our oils, we continuously search the globe for exotic ingredients that are vitamin leaders and that are completely pure, organic, and minimally processed so they offer the most benefit possible to the skin and body.
