I am native to beautiful Burlington Vermont. I joined the Metro Hair Salon Collective in 2011 and began to carve my niche with Beautifully Grim Design as a specialist in dreadlocks and alternative styling. I absolutely love what I do! My goal is to educate people and help put an end to the stereotypes and stigma surrounding dreadlocks. They aren't just a hairstyle, they are a lifestyle. One that is full of empowerment, freedom, individuality and spirituality. I love hearing peoples stories and helping them along their own unique dreadlock journey. No two dreads are alike, each has their own personality, story and energy just like you! I want to change the way people wear their hair. Hair isn't just an extension of you physically, it can hold energy, be a source of power and can even effect your self esteem and ego. Why rock what everyone else is? Why not make your outside a refection of you on the inside? I have always had a passion for creativity and artistic expression. I see each person in my chair as a blank canvas full of endless possibilities. I love creating unique and individualized looks specifically tailored for each person I work with. Whether its conservative or crazy, wash n' go or high maintenance. Whats your vision? Even if it doesn't involve dreadlocks or rainbows. I'd love to help make it a reality.
