My husband and I hired Cass very late into my pregnancy.
This was my first child and a planned homebirth.
People ask me all the time if a doula is worth it and I say a thousand times YES; especially if you are lucky enough to be blessed with one like Cass.
If I could give negative stars, I would.
I was very clear and upfront that I wanted a doula who was current with the two most important vaccines for working closely with infants.
She replied with screen shots of her vaccinations, which did not include the two most important vaccines for working closely with infants; which were the only two I had requested to see.
Eight minutes later, I get another email from Cass telling me at this point I should look elsewhere for services if I can't take her word for it.
I expect a doula to be mindful of this when communicating with me or any momma to be.
Very unprofessional handling of a very clear request.
I had a very complex birth, and Cass and my midwife were clearly in conflict during my labor, which cause a high level of stress and anxiety for me.
It was a disappointing experience.
Cass I love you!
I am grateful that Cass was there to help ensure that I had the birth that I planned for.
I was lucky enough to have Cassandra as my doula for the birth of my daughter.
Being that this was my first pregnancy, it was so nice to have Cassandra there by my side as a support person.
When I compare my experience of this birth with my last, I was surprised that this delivery was less painful, even though it was completely natural and I had no pain medication.
She has really become an extended part of our family and still offers her love and support to us to this day.
