Beta Sigma Phi has been active in the area since 1936. We presently have 6 chapters in the area. Bet Sigma Phi was founded for the social, cultural and service enrichment of our members. Locally, we are a very active participant in several service projects. Each chapter meets twice a month in our members’ homes. Each chapter has its own executive and follows its own social, cultural and service projects. We do meet once a month (the fourth Wed. of the month) at Valley Park Community Center, where an overall executive board brings the chapters together. Please google Beta Sigma Phi Canada and read about our organization. Visit our own side bar menu of each chapter and see what we are doing. Visit Beta Sigma Phi International and learn about this wonderful International Women’s organization. Leave a message on our local contact bar and we will get back to you. Noteable Quote about BSP: Elizabeth Witmer, MPP, Kitchener-Waterloo I agree that it is important for women throughout the world to be made aware of the mission of Beta Sigma Phi. We live in a very busy society and it is important that women know they have the support of other women as they carry out their responsibilities of a career, job and family. Membership in a Beta Sigma Phi chapter provides this essential element and can lead to life-time friendships. I believe friendship is crucial to good health. It boosts self-esteem, increases one's sense of belonging and self-worth and promotes positive mental health. An adage I enjoy, sums it up; "Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow, Don't walk behind me, I may not lead. Just walk beside me and be my friend." - Albert Camus
