After a successful career in publishing I trained as a psychotherapist. I have an MSc in Rational Emotive and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and have been working in private practice since 2003. I train people in CBT, Counselling and Hypnotherapy at the College of Cognitive Behavioural Therapies (cbttherapies.org.uk) and run courses in Mindfulness Coaching with SMART Foundations (smartfoundations.co.uk) Cognitive Behavioural techniques help you to understand how your thinking, and the beliefs you hold about events or situations play a large part in the emotional or behavioural upset.Where appropriate I combine CBT with hypnosis, in many cases this combination helps accelerate the desired change.
