We are looking for a place to Park our truck in Omaha this Friday (Oct. 9) over lunch. Anyone have suggestions. We would need the owner to approve us to park there. Thanks in advance.
Heads up, we'll be at the National Park Service on the riverfront, 601 Riverfront Drive, Thursday (Oct. 8th) 11:30-1:30. The National park Service has Senior Skip Day. People over 62 can get their free park pass. We love parks so we will be making a donation from our sales that day to the Hanscom Park renewal project.
As a brand new food truck it was a little disheartening to see the recent local TV and OWH coverage was spun as brick and mortar restaurants vs. food trucks. First, there is not and should not be a brick and mortar restaurant vs. food truck. There is room for all of us. Let's not stifle Omaha's growth but work together to continue to grow it.
A couple of quick updates. If you sent us a message when our Facebook page said coming soon, the info button wasn't linked as we weren't live. If you sent us an email and we haven't responded we are sorry. Please email again. As any new business we are working through glitches so appreciate your patience. Because we got our new truck back months after expected we will have a limited calendar to be out this Fall. We will only be out for some Friday's/weekends or special events. We will post as soon as we can. We will not be out this weekend as we are getting our POS system up to date as well as working on some new side dishes: dirty rice, home made mac & cheese, a (from our garden) tomato, basil, balsamic, onion and fresh mozzarella side as well as many more. But next Spring...full time my faithful friends. Thanks for the support. Again thanks to MUD, Truck Centers and Dundee Bank.
Big Green Q will be out at our accountants building office complex in the parking lot of 9802 Nicholas (just on the north side of Westroads Mall and a quick turn to the East. Friday 11:30-1:30. Hope to see you there

We picked this big baby up 2 days ago. It is awesome. Thanks Omaha Truck centers and a huge thank you to MUD and Dundee bank.
Here's the latest update: Omaha Truck is doing the conversion to CNG. We were told we would get the truck back a week after we dropped it off. That was 3 weeks ago. We are now being told that we will get it mid next week (4 weeks later). We could get upset but what does that accomplish. So we will keep you posted and we will get this on the road, serving great food in a "green" state. Thanks for your patience. Have a great week.
We were hoping to have the truck back this week but it has been delayed. It's not a bad thing. Our truck is being converted to CNG (compressed natural gas), not only the truck but all the equipment. So we will be "green" like you have not seen a food truck in the Midwest (maybe anywhere). We are also locally sourcing as many products as possible, including local produce and hormone/antibiotic free meats that are available. We will eventually move to all recyclable paper/container products. We chose to do as much local because we believe in supporting the community we live in. If you like this idea then please share this on your Facebook or Twitter timeline because with family and friends like you, we will have a chance. Thanks to all and have a great week!
Thanks for all your likes in a short amount of time. I was going to keep this on the down low until we were up and running. Forget that! We will be up and running on weekends in a few few weeks. Like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter @biggreenq and we will post locations. Please share this on your Facebook and Twitter. Forever grateful to our friends and family. You will be rewarded. You will make this dream happen. Love to all.
