Community Engagement We are a small Neighbourhood House which provides support for individuals and families in the Wodonga area, whilst trying to engage students and the aged in programs that also include the disabled and single people living alone. We cater to diverse groups in the community, including refugees whilst assisting with community issues in an informal, familiar and supportive setting.

Description
We are uniquely situated in West Wodonga, sharing modern training rooms and kitchen with the Emmanuel Anglican & Uniting Church. We are close to schools, and work closely with social aid agencies, Churches of all denominations, the Wodonga Council and various health and environmental networks. We remain devoted to encouraging all facets of learning, volunteerism and community minded aims and objectives, of which the "OTTY" project is but one. We are a not-for-profit charitable organisation, run by a very committed Management Committee and rely heavily on the generous support in terms of time, energy and money, from a growing list of volunteers, partners and stakeholders.

General Info
We run an emergency food project called "Our Table to Yours" where we grow our own fresh vegetables and herbs in a small community garden attached to our premises, harvest the produce and then prepare nutritious meals for freezing into portions, ready for distribution by various Churches and other relief agencies in Wodonga. We have 8 large garden beds which we encourage the community to work in, and we have extended the original project by developing additional plots and developing a teaching arm, which aims to educate the community on growing healthy food and cooking simple nutritious meals for themselves and others in need in the community. We have a variety of community groups using our facilities, for sewing, cooking, gardening, carpentry and hydroponics, and there is a Community Shop open every day also.Company Rating
