Organizations increasingly rely upon personality assessments to assist them in such processes as hiring and selection, leadership development, team building and conflict resolution. Many assessments accurately profile individuals' customary behaviors, which are often self-evident. However, people have internal needs and motivations that can rarely be seen by others and do not change significantly with age. When internal needs are left unmet over extended periods of time, people move into stress behavior. Stress Behaviors - an individual's ineffective style of dealing with relationships or tasks; behavior observed when underlying needs are not met. 4. Interests - an individual's expressed preference for job titles based on the assumption of equal economic rewards. 5. Organizational Focus - the perspective in which an individual views problems and solutions relating to organizational goals.
