My name is Crystal and I am a DONA trained Birth Doula. It is my desire to empower women with information to make informed choices about their births, then to support them in those choices. Birth should be an empowering journey towards the ultimate of new beginnings, not a terrifying ordeal. With the right information, support and guidance, families can have a joyous and healthy birth experience. Birth Doula Services: •A free initial consultation in your home or location of choice •2-3 Prenatal Visits (During prenatal appointments we go over your birth plan, basic childbirth education, dad's plans for assisting with the birth, comfort measures during labor including massage, position changes, counter-pressure, visualization and whatever you feel will work best for you) •Provide information for you to make informed decisions regarding childbirth •Assistance in developing your birth plan •On call for you starting at 38 weeks (this is flexible if you have a birth history of labor before 38 weeks) •Attendance at your birth •Assistance with comfort measures during pregnancy, labor and delivery •Assistance one to two more hours after birth, and visits while you are still in the hospital, if desired. •Information and support with breast-feeding •A written time line of the birth (if requested) •Postpartum follow-up visit(s) and continued Breastfeeding support •Community Resources Cost: $350 Placenta Encapsulation: Cost is $150 + $25 if you want a tincture. Long Distance Placenta Encapsulation: Cost is $150 + $25 if you want a tincture. You pay the overnight postage to get the placenta to me and I will send it back to you priority via the USPS. You should receive your capsules within a week and your tincture in about 6 weeks. Sibling support is also available.
