On Sunday, November 29 the Seventh Day Adventist church building that we normally use for worship was not available to us for our 6.30 pm service. We had to hold this service at Cornerstone Canadian Reformed Church instead. Unfortunately, we did not announce the change in venue as well as we could have and some of you showed up to worship with us and found locked doors. For this, we apologize. Sorry! Procedures are being put in place to ensure that this situation does not happen again. In the future, a change in venue will be posted clearly on the website and on our Facebook feed.
“‘The days are coming,’ declares the Lord, ‘when I will fulfill the good promise I made to the people of Israel and Judah. “‘In those days and at that time I will make a righteous Branch sprout from David’s line; he will do what is just and right in the land. In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will live in safety. This is the name by which it will be called: The Lord Our Righteous Savior.’ Jeremiah 33:14-16 #Advent2015 Today is the official start of the Advent season on the traditional Christian calendar, in preparation for the celebration of Jesus' birth. What better way to prepare than worshiping him together. We look forward to our 10:30 and 6:30 services and hope many will join us.
Good Sunday morning #HamOnt! "May the glory of the Lord endure forever; may the Lord rejoice in his works, who looks on the earth and it trembles, who touches the mountains and they smoke! I will sing to the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have being. May my meditation be pleasing to him, for I rejoice in the Lord." Psalm 104:31-34 We would love to share with you our hope in Jesus. At 10:30 this morning you can hear about the all-surpassing peace we have in Jesus (Philippians 4:4-7), and at 6:30 pm about true wisdom (James 3:13-18). Read these bible passages here: 10:30am service: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Philippians+4%3A4-7&version=ESV 6:30pm service: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=James+3%3A13-18&version=ESV If you would like to join us, we meet at 284 Concession Street. #KnowingJesus #SharingHope #ServingHamilton
Coming up tomorrow: Concession Street is officially open again, so come on down to 284 Concession and join us as we worship God at 10:30am and 6:30pm. Pastor Bill will continue the Shadow of the Messiah series in the morning service, and in the evening we will focus on prayer by learning what it means to pray "And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one." In world shaken by terror it will be good to worship our risen Saviour who gives rest to the weary. "Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." Romans 12:19-21 #PrayForParis #ShareHope
Every Sunday we worship God by hearing the gospel and singing praises.
We invite everyone, including skeptics and new Christians, to join us at 10:30 am or 6:30 pm.
Jesus promises love and grace to people who do not deserve it.
All who believe in him will be reconciled to God, freed from their sins and given eternal life.
