Hi there! Welcome to Blossom Box Kids; we’re so glad to have you! My name is Nikki Anderson, I’m the founder of Blossom Box along with my friend (since the 6th grade) Bethany Wilde. We’re a couple of stay-at-home moms with a passion for raising our children in the most natural way possible. Not only do we aim to create a natural environment for our children, we’re also dedicated to parenting in a way that allows our children to explore the world through their own unique perspective and to blossom at their own pace in all that they endeavor. We want to gently encourage our children to use their imagination and creativity by providing them with the materials and letting them take over. That is how Blossom Box began! Some of my favorite childhood memories involve doing crafts with my mom. Stitching scrap material together while she quilted, decorating pumpkins every autumn, and making homemade clay ornaments for the holidays. It was only natural that once I had children of my own I would strive to create those same, warm memories with them. I make creating with my children a part of our daily life, but sometimes it can feel overwhelming in our age of information with the myriads of ideas on the internet to choose from and the hundreds of the brightly colored supplies at our local craft stores. I often found myself spending more time trying to find ideas on the internet and making trips to the store than I was actually spending on the activities with my children. That was what sparked the idea for Blossom Box. We take the time to come up with the theme, select the crafts, test them, and give you just the right amount of materials so you can enjoy the time creating with your child. After coming up with the idea the first person I thought to tell was Bethany. Not only is she a natural mamma like myself, she’s also the craftiest, most resourceful, and eco-minded person I know. She also happens to have a degree in child development and has worked with children using the theories of Montessori and Reggio Emilia for almost 10 years. I ran the idea by her and she was just as excited about it as I was! We dove right in brainstorming and coming up with something that we would love for our children to have and couldn’t wait to share it with others. We’ve put a lot of time, but even more love and care into creating Blossom Box Kids in hopes that we can provide the ideas and materials for you and your child to explore, create, learn, bust most importantly have fun and make magical memories together.
