The Boston Dance Company, was founded in 1992 by James Reardon and Clyde Nantais. With the vision of offering high quality dance, in Greater Boston. BDC has grown into a prominent respected arts troupe, particularly engaging the underserved communities. Boston Dance Company is celebrating its 19th year. We have had many successful productions and have over 75 ballets in the repertoire. With the help of the George Balanchine Trust we have aquired 9 Balanchine ballets including 3 Boston premieres. We reconstruct lost ballets and encourage aspiring choreographers. Some works are by Agnes DeMille, Ted Shawn, Ruth St. Denis and Isadora Duncan.

The company dances many styles of dance. Our focus in ballet is the philosophy of 20th century speed, attack and rythm. We also emphasize a professional track for upcoming students in all dance styles including modern, dance fusion, jazz, and promote our school with many summer performances in collabraation with the Office of Cultural Affairs and the Office of New Bostonians, appointed by Mayor Menino and Chief Officer, Armando Silva
