Description

Bournemouth Emerging Art Fringe is an open-access, multi-art form festival in England. It works as a platform for local creatives and organisations to become included in the Arts By The Sea Festival programme from 26th September to 12th October. The Fringe aims to support and nurture the diverse range of arts and culture, happening in Bournemouth by providing the opportunity for all submitted events to be featured on our websites, social media and other printed marketing material. This enables the Fringe to support you in developing new audiences, gain reputation and enhance exposure to industry professionals. You will meet and build relationships with like minded professionals and also have fun along the way. So if your a Creative individual or organisation and you think you have a brilliant idea for an event then let us know by filling out one of our submission forms below. It can be anything from Art, Music, Theatre, Performance, Film & Dance and the event can be held anywhere you like... a theatre, a gallery a pub, a taxi, a sewer, a park, a tent, a beach hut, a café the possibilities are endless. The Event Submission Form downloadable from our website www.b-e-a-f.com is for creative individuals and Organisations that have their event, venue and date already organised. This is our preferred method for inclusion in the fringe and helps us process your event quicker. Registration for Bournemouth Emerging Art Fringe 2014 will open 6th August 2014 and close August 24th this is to give us enough time to include your event on our website and printed marketing material. We will except events to be submitted up to the September 14th but these events will only be include on our social media channels at our discretion. We appreciate that a lot of Artists and organisations need support in finding suitable locations for their events or may want to be included within a group event such as an exhibition or poetry night that is already happening. By filling in the Creative Ideas Proposal Form (Available at www.b-e-a-f.co.uk) you can give us the appropriate information needed to attempt us to link your event with a venue. We strive to include, as many events as possible but are restricted by time and spaces. The earlier you submit a completed Creative Proposal Form to us the more chance we have of helping you realise your idea. We must stress that the B-E-A-F Team will do all they can facilitate your needs by linking you with events and venues but sadly do not have the resources to manage events this year.

Just a quick update for all you wonderful artists associated with this page - After a great and at times animated meeting of arty minds on 12th November we recognized that this page is a great way of communicating with local artists beyond the remit of arts by the sea and BEAF. As a group we discussed how we could sustain creative activity in the area over the year (as oppose to just during the festival) and what infrastructure we might benefit from to help us do this and we have committed to meeting up regularly as an artist led network to keep the momentum, the drive and ambition that BEAF created going in the hope of improving the area for artists making work locally. Ashley has since left the project in his previous capacity, however has created admins to manage the page and keep everyone up to speed with developments. Please keep your peepers glued (or tick 'receive notifications') to this page for updates. There will be another meeting 10th December, so if you want get pro-actively involved with like minded people, then save the date, details to follow. Thanks for reading Gemma (aka @gemmavitanova & @gemmaalldred)
