Are you coming to the BCNY Welcome to the City Happy Hour tonight? It's one of 20 cities celebrating Welcome to the City, so we hope you'll stop by! 6:00pm - 9:00pm at Le Reve 125 E 54th Street (Park & Lexington) http://www.lerevenyc.com/
The Meddiebempsters will be performing at the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival in Garrison, NY, next Friday, August 8th! Arrive early to the performance of Two Gentlemen of Veron, and take advantage of the Festival's Friday Night Tasting of wine, beer, and food, all to the tune of some mellifluous Meddie melodies, starting 2 hours before the 8 PM show. HVSF’s Two Gents is fun for all ages. And for that night only, HVSF is offering a special 20% discount on tickets to Bowdoin alumni and families! If you're more of a Meddie lover than a Bard fan, you can come just for the group (which may require at most a $13 entrance fee for food and drink) and leave before the show begins. Bill will understand. For more info about the event, contact Simon Close ‘17 at: firstname.lastname@example.org For tickets and directions visit: http://hvshakespeare.org/ "To be or not to be at the Meddies' performance in Garrison, NY, on August 8th: is that even a question?" - Hamlet (noted Meddie buff)”

Nearly 100 alumni and parents made it out yesterday evening for a wine tasting event at Quality House Wines & Spirits on Park Ave. Huge thanks to our Bowdoin host, Gary Fradin, Proprietor of Quality House Wines and Bowdoin parent of two. Based on popularity, this is one event we hope to organize again in the future!

Hi everyone, A reminder that if you want to make sure you get a lobster roll meal and souvenir at the Central Park Lobster Bake you need to buy your tickets ASAP – we sold out last year and expect to do the same this year. Here’s the link for tickets: https://alumni.bowdoin.edu/gateway/nyc-club You are of course welcome to come and hang out in the park and not get the meal …Though that would ruin your chance to get your hands on the rare blue lobster ... http://gothamist.com/2013/06/10/look_at_this_crazy_blue_lobster.php You can check out the photos from last year's event here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.409663572404055.82740.105032689533813&type=1. The polar bear will also be in attendance this year if you’d like to take a polar bear pride picture! Thanks! Bowdoin Club of NY
