Description
This building was originally the home to the Central Paper Box Company, a manufacturer of woman's hat boxes from the 1920's thru 1940. They redirected their efforts in support of WWll and began making bayonet boxes for Case knives. The building also housed a candy factory from the 1950's thru the 1980's. The building sat vacant until the early 1990's when it was purchased to renovate into condo living spaces. Today, the Box Company Flats represents city living at it's finest. An art inspired celebration of life and all things Lancaster. The building consists of three residential spaces and one business space. All of the buildings owners play an active roll in the city's vibrant art scene.
