Several neurologic diseases and injuries (e.g., spinal cord injury, brain stem stroke, muscular dystrophy, and ALS) can greatly reduce a person's ability to move, and sometimes also to communicate. Our research team aims to better understand how the brain works and to develop and test neurotechnologies that may help people with paralysis.
