The history of Breakthrough: In 2008, our three founding schools -- Citizens Academy, E Prep School, and The Intergenerational School -- asked each other: could we do more for our city if we started working together? Three years later, we did just that: joined forces to launch Breakthrough Schools, opening new Citizens, E Prep, and Intergenerational Schools across Cleveland. Since launching Breakthrough Schools, we have opened Citizens Academy East, Citizens Leadership Academy, Near West Intergenerational School, E Prep & Village Prep Woodland Hills, and the Lakeshore Intergenerational School.
