From today until your day, we do. A little bit about me: Semi-new to Darwin, I relocated in 2012 following my partner. I studied a Bachelor of Business Management at university in Victoria and have recently completed my certificate in Professional Wedding Planning. I am a friendly person who is adventurous and love all things hands-on. I believe everything happens for a reason and that we should embrace what life throws at us with two hands, whether its love, loss or misplacement, we learn from our experiences and its teaches us to better ourselves. My friends refer me to Charlotte off the TV series Sex and the City, although I don't look like her, we both believe in finding your 'Knight in shining armour' and the traditions of love over lust. I am a big believer in making your big day enjoyable and stress-free so when you look back on it in years to follow, your not looking back on your bank account. What I can do for you: Brides&Beaus can guide and help you through the processes of the planning and preparation that goes into planning your big day. Whether its a traditional church wedding or unconventional casual beach or garden wedding you are after, I provide wedding planning services from choosing the words on invitations to honeymoon destinations. Your initial consultation is FREE over a cup of coffee where we start from the basics of what your dream wedding looks like and how we are going to make it a reality. During this consultation, we will start with a budget and discuss what is important to you on your wedding day. I am new to the Wedding Industry so all I ask that you give me an opportunity to meet with you as I am keen to start my small business venture and grow my portfolio. If you agree to have me as your Wedding Planner, I can provide you either a Full Wedding Planner Package or Wedding Day Co-ordination. The Wedding Planner Package includes planning and preparation of your wedding from 6-12 months before the wedding through to your big day and honeymoon plans. Wedding Day Co-Ordination gives you the opportunity to plan your own wedding but leaving on-the-day co-ordination of suppliers, venues, catering, decorations, floral and other arrangements up to me, leaving you for your early start at the beauty salon. At this moment, I am offering my services free of cost as just by giving me the opportunity to plan your wedding and a brief testimonial or review from you will be more than enough. I ask that you email me at my personal email address at with a brief outline of the type of wedding you are after and a time and date which suits you to meet with me. I look forward to hearing from you.

Money Saving Hint#1- The Wedding Dress Hire a dress. Borrow a friends or your mothers (be selective of whom you ask as some women see their dress as sacred). Give yourself plenty of time to shop around, you may come across a bargain or a sample dress that fits you well. Try purchasing a second hand wedding dress, you may find a pre-loved dress for half the original cost. Make the gown yourself (or ask your mother). This can be a fantastic option to save you money, if you are very good with a thread and needle, but you also need plenty of time on your hands.

Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue - So what does it all mean? Something Old - Traditionally is something that ties the bride to her family and her past. It can be handed down from generations. Something New - A token representing being part of a new family. Something Borrowed - This item usually comes from a happily married woman with hopes the bride will enjoy the same success. Something Blue - faithfulness, Loyalty and purity are represented by the colour blue. And a Silver Sixpence in her Shoe (for extra good luck)
